Aaron Roan

Aaron Roan is the Founder and CEO of Ocean Agentics, where he leads the organization's work on technology supporting the High Seas Treaty. He is a technical consultant to United Nations treaty processes and a champion for bringing modern data, AI, and agentic systems into ocean governance. Aaron has worked across some of the world's leading technology and ocean science institutions. At Google, he was an early machine learning practitioner and helped launch Global Fishing Watch, contributing to the use of satellite data and machine learning to bring global transparency to industrial fishing activity. At Salesforce, he led technology strategy for sustainability initiatives, including work using AI agents to support regenerative agriculture in Andhra Pradesh with RySS and Producers Trust. At UC Santa Barbara's Benioff Ocean Science Laboratory, he advanced applied ocean data science for marine conservation. He has also held technology leadership roles at Slack and Salesforce, bridging enterprise software, AI systems, and mission-driven technology. Aaron holds an M.S. in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Davis. Based in New York City, he is also a USCG-licensed captain and PADI Divemaster, grounding his technical work in direct experience on and under the water.

Brandon Levy is the Co-Founder and Head of Partnerships at Ocean Agentics. He is dedicated to cultivating the enabling conditions for multilateral cooperation in service of planetary stewardship. Previously, he was a founding team member at Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), where he served as Chief Program Officer and Head of Global Engagement for over seven years. At SOA, he helped launch the world's first ocean tech accelerator (deploying $4.2M to 65 startups), built a global grant program (reaching 400+ projects across 75 countries), and scaled and stewarded the world's largest community of young ocean leaders. Earlier in his career at the California Clean Energy Fund, Brandon led programs, networks, and funds supporting early-stage entrepreneurs across solar, wind, and battery storage. Brandon holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School, an MA in Organizational Psychology from William James College, and a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University. He is also a certified mindfulness meditation teacher (trained under Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield), and hosts the Wisdom on Earth Podcast in collaboration with Moving Art, exploring how the world's wisdom traditions and living systems science can help us perceive and navigate planetary challenges more skillfully. Brandon is a recognized speaker on the ocean, climate, and complexity-informed leadership, with engagements at the United Nations, NASA, Goldman Sachs, and leading global forums.
